Areas of Antarctica that previously have been accessible only to selected extreme adventurists, can now be explored with a backup of a vehicles, capable of travelling on the Antarctica plateau, faster, safer and much more efficiently than traditional equipment could. Arctic Trucks offers a range of products and services to operators in Antarctica. For “one-off” operations, Arctic Trucks currently has 3 vehicles stationed at Novo runway and 3 at Union Glacier. Both locations provide access to the plateau for various “light duty” research. Compared to the track vehicles, the tire based Arctic Trucks vehicles offer a much faster and fuel-efficient travel method. The capability of up to 500 km travelling distance per day, combined with fuel efficiency and vehicle reliability, will produce great savings in both time and cost to operations in the Antarctica. With changed economy and reduced time frame, studies that have been out of reach, may now be possible. 

 

 

 

 

 

Arctic Trucks has vehicles stationed at the Novo runway and Union Glacier. Arctic Trucks has provided various expedition support from these locations, both for adventurists, scientific research and operations. Where light duty ground support is needed our vehicles excel at using only a fraction of the fuel and time of track vehicles. Previous expedition support include a number of skiing expeditions and races, carrying support teams, doctors and film crews.

 

 

 

For individuals or groups that like to ski, kite, run or cycle, Arctic Trucks provides ground support with film crews, a doctor and other necessary backup for increased safety and to allow for the oppportunity for normally fit people to experience something extraordinary.
